![]() I personally would have preferred plain tortilla chips, but my friend liked them. The chips were not the usual tortilla chips – and they were very spicy. The generous portion of guacamole was chunky and obviously freshly made. The three Summer Rolls were huge – and served with two dipping sauces (peanut and sweet and sour). We decided to order a bite to eat and selected the Summer Rolls (Pork, Shrimp or Tofu) and the Guacamole and Chips. I asked him about the backyard patio (which is twice as large as the front patio), and he indicated that it is open to the public on weekends. Our friendly bartender, Bobby, explained that their featured specialty drinks were changed up on a regular basis. I had a sip of the Pear Mojito – it was delicious. I ordered a glass of Bogle Essential Red wine ($7 reduced to $5) and my friend settled on the Pear Mojito ($11 reduced to $9). We were delighted to learn that the Flamingo House had just recently started offering Happy Hour. – All Things Sacramento (from a personal perspective) Happy Hour The front room Lounge Area features sofas, cushioned chairs and small tables. The décor of the interior of the Flamingo House is fanciful – from the hanging lights over the bar encased in feathers to the flowers on the ceiling of the room (Lounge Area) across from the bar. It was early so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We sat at the bar while we waited for another friend to join us. After a soft opening, the Flamingo House is now open seven days a week. ![]() The former front yard, enclosed by a white fence, is now an outdoor patio.Ī friend and I recently stopped by the Flamingo House to check it out around 4:30 p.m. The old Victorian house – now a bar/restaurant – is painted pink.
